Butane Lighter Operation Manual:
How to adjust your lighter's flame/torch level:
-> Required tool: a small slot/flat screwdriver
1. Locate the "Butane Gas Intake Valve" on your lighter. It's usually located on the bottom of your lighter.
2. Turn the outer rim of the intake valve counter-clockwise to increase the flame level and turn the outer rim of the intake valve clockwise to decrease the flame level. Please do not adjust the flame/torch level by more than 120 degrees or 1/3 of a full circle.
How to bleed your lighter:
-> Required tool: a small philips screwdriver
1. Locate the "Butane Gas Intake Valve" on your lighter. It's usually located on the bottom of your lighter.
2. Use the screwdriver and apply pressure to the intake valve stem. Do not block the intake valve.
How to refill your lighter with butane gas:
1. Locate the "Butane Gas Intake Valve" on your lighter. It's usually located on the bottom of your lighter.
2. Please always bleed your lighter empty before you begin to refill your lighter with butane. Make sure you let out all the existing butane gas.
3. Follow the direction on the butane gas bottle. Some butane gas bottle require shaking before using and some don't.
4. Important: always apply refills vertically downward into the center of the gas intake valve stem with the butane bottle on top and your lighter on the bottom.
5. Wait about 10 min for the compressed gas to settle before lighting.
6. Due to the gas chamber pressure, some lighters require re-adjustment of flame level after each refill.
Butane Refill:
Please be sure that you purchase premium butane which is butane blended with propane,
sometimes characterized as "Ultra", "triple" or "double refined". Suitable brands include:
Neon, Lava, Lucienne, Prometheus or Vector. Butane refill bottle usually comes in a large
can (10-13oz.) with a metal fill nozzle or tip. Check with a high quality tobacco shop in
your area to find these. Do not use inferior brand of butane gas as they will clog the
butane feeding system and affect the performance of your lighter.
Use Only Wick Lighter Fuel:
Please be sure that you use only wick lighter fuel for your wick lighters. To refuel,
you will need to open the lighter case and pull the lighter insert straight up to remove it
from the case. Saturate the felt pad with wick lighter fuel. We use Ronsonol and Zippo lighter fluid.
Put the insert back into the case and it's ready for use.
